American Dad Clip

Stan: See, at least Roger shows the proper respect for this holiest of days.

Roger: Oh, I love your religion. For the crazy! Virgin birth? Water into wine? It's, it's like Harry Potter but it causes genocide and bad folk music. Eh? Eh? Who-who am I nudging? There's no one next to me.

From season 5, episode 9: Rapture's Delight (F.K.A Holy Crapture)

The Meaning of Life

People are pretentious. Most everyone I speak to believes that the world will end in their lifetime. That they are vastly superior to anyone that came before them. People manipulate any piece of data to make it fit into whatever they want. For thousands of years we have heard people say that such and such a battle or war was predicted in the bible and said that it will bring the beginning of the end. Even now there are thousands of people that think the world is going to end on December 21, 2012? This is based on an arbitrary date that was a result of the rolling over of an ancient and no longer existent numbering system of the Mayans.

Every time one of these deadlines comes and goes you would think that it would make people immune from being caught up in the next one, but this is not the case. As an example, in 1822 there was a man named William Miller who predicted that the second coming of Jesus Christ was going to be on or before 1844. God Caused the Super Tornado That Killed So Many in America

Wow, once again Christian extremists are blaming another natural tragedy on the so called 'evil, Godless people.' I'm surprised that since atheists area majority in America, that they were the only people in the 100 miles of devastation the tornado left behind. Or did God kill a ton a 'righteous' people just to sock it to the few evil ones.

Seriously this is supposedly God letting us know it is the end times?!?
Tragedies happen, and they seem to get worse, this isn't a sing of the end times, it is a factor of increasing modifications to the planned by humans, the natural events on a planet that is not cold and dead, and most of all humans are increasing in numbers and therefore more and more live in less and less space. So when a natural event happens, the death toll should be more than if it had happened many years ago. But Religion is defined by ignorance, so it's no wonder that these types of stories keep happening.

"My personal #1 reason that I don't like religion is because I like knowledge, I crave information like a crack attic craves crack! And Religion suppresses knowledge; not just the knowledge unfortunately, but it suppresses the entire drive to understand. With ideas like God created it and we can never comprehend how so don't try, religion wipes out the one thing that makes mankind great, our mind!" -Garrett Fogerlie
